What service can you expect from uke learning?

All uke learning staff have been carefully selected to provide you with a great service. They will: 

  • Honour commitments and be available for appointments at mutually convenient times.  
  • Explain our training programmes to you.
  • Ask you what you want to do and hope to achieve from your learning. 
  • Treat you fairly and respectfully as individuals.
  • Ask you about your personal and career goals and help you find the right programme of learning.
  • Explain whether you are eligible for funding to support the cost of your course. 
  • Tell you how much you may need to pay for or contribute to a uke learning course.
  • Give you a clear induction and check your understanding. 
  • Provide you with a welcome pack containing copies of uke learning’s policies, complaints procedure and contact information.
  • Explain the support you will receive and how to contact your tutor/assessor. 
  • Tell you about the health and safety aspects of using computers and laptops. 
  • Provide you with an accessible and safe environment in which to learn.
  • Tell you about the course materials and ensure that you have appropriate support to access e-learning if necessary.
  • Help you to access to online tools where available to support your learning and help you to know how to use them.
  • Discuss opportunities for your learning which could lead to a test or qualification. 
  • Discuss your next steps after completing a cours e and provide appropriate advice and guidance.
  • Tell you who to contact if you have a problem. 


As a uke learning learner, we ask you to: 

  • Read and return any documents to your tutor/assessor.
  • Keep appointments with asses sors and tutors and try to give 24 hours notice of any cancellation or non-attendance.
  • Be punctual to your appointments.
  • Keep in contact with your tutor and let them know how you are progressing.
  • Complete homework and meet deadlines.
  • Ask for support and let us know if you are encountering  problems or are thinking of quitting your course.
  • Let us know if there are any changes to your personal information.
  • Show respect and consideration for other learners and uke learning staff. 
  • Treat uke learning’s equipment and property with respect and follow any guidelines for use.
  • Tell us how we can improve the quality of your learning experience by completing surveys and making comments, complaints and suggestions.
