How it Works

The programme is work based with a Microsoft Partner Organisation.  Participants will start work straight away, studying remotely with a mix of work and personal time commitment over a period of 11 months.

Induction, initial assessment and advice & guidance activities will take place face to face at a Central London location to provide you with the information and tools you will need to succeed.  During this time you will meet your personal tutor and other young people in your locality participating in your programme.  You will then agree with your tutor and employer, your own personal study programme, to be followed remotely, and with the support of your tutor and fellow Apprentices throughout the UK using on-line learning, on-line forums, email and mobile technologies.  All training will be backed up with work-based experience with the Microsoft Partner, where you will be able to directly apply your newly gained skills and knowledge practically within your day to day work tasks, growing your confidence in a structured and supported way.

The Programme

The remote Microsoft Advanced IT Apprenticeship programme contains a mix of on-line study sessions that are continually assessed, leading to stand alone industry recognised qualifications that contribute to the credits required for your Advanced Apprenticeship framework, the national framework required for you to complete your Apprenticeship.  It also includes “soft skills” employability training, designed to help you succeed in the work place.

At the end of the programme, successful Apprentices are awarded an Advanced Apprenticeship Certificate from e-Skills UK – a qualification recognised nationally and internationally.
