uke learning, in collaboration with Indigo 21 have facilitated two Christmas parties for underprivileged children as a result of their joint efforts to swap their old mobile telephones for cash.

The children, from the Alay Pag-asa Christian Foundation  and the CRIBS Foundation were given a Christmas party to remember and representatives of the Foundations commented "Even though the money raised was as a result of selling a handful of old mobile phones, under no circumstances should you underestimate the significance of your contribution. The parties have given the children a Christmas to remember and the gifts purchased will be of use well into 2010."

Through the Alay Pag-asa Christian Foundation development program http://alaypagasa.org/donor.htm, children from slum areas are able to attend school, as the Foundation provide free tuition fee, school supplies, uniforms, and books. The children are also exposed to social and recreational activities that will contribute to making them well-rounded individuals. Alay Pag-asa wants to make sure that these children have imbibed the proper values and attitudes during their formative years.
